Design Studio Roman Shade Styles

BATTEN BACK

BATTEN FRONT

FLAT

Batten Back:  Roman shades with the battens sewn into the side facing the window, at the back.  It creates a delicate, refined look when down, and creates traditional Roman Shade folds when it is raised.

Batten Front:  Roman shades with a batten front feature tubes of fabric with the stiff strip of solid material (wood, plastic, or metal) sewn at regular intervals into the outward side of the shade.

Flat:  Roman Shades that have no horizontal seams across the face of the fabric, making them ideal for showing off bold patterns.

Fabrics

All fabrics except for sheer fabrics, are lined in either light-filtering or room-darkening white lining.  Draperies are made with standard adjustable pins for all pleated header styles and have double turned side and bottom hems, with a pillow-cased turned top hem.  A memory stich option, a continuous thread stitched to the back of each pleat allowing the Side Panel or Drapery to hang perfectly and hold consistent shape,  is available for pleated styles only.  Powerview Automation is also available.
