Roller Screen Shades have the combined effect of being transparent enough to maintain a view while at the same time blocking potentially damaging effects of the sun’s rays, or providing that little extra touch of privacy.

Designer Screen fabrics are organized by an openness factor. The “openness” is the weave density of the screen fabric. Fabrics with a large openness factor have a very open weave and are easy to see through. Fabrics with a small openness factor have a very dense weave and are harder to see through. What you choose depends on your needs for your family and your situation. Notice that at night, with the light on inside, the ability to see into the home is also affected by the openness factor.
THE BEST OF BOTH WORLDS
Dual Roller shades are two shades together, with one positioned in front of the other. Choose any two Designer Roller or Designer Screen fabrics, one for the front shade and one for the back shade. With the Alustra Woven Textures roller shade style, the rear shade is offered in a light-filtering or room-darkening liner. Choosing fabrics of varying opacity allows for maximum light control and privacy. Each shade operates with its own continuous beaded cord loop for even more versatility.
